Travel with inspiration
The seasons are shifting here in New Mexico and you can feel it in the air. This is one of the best times to visit New Mexico as we sit on the edge of summer. The mornings are crisp and fresh and the sky is illuminated with hues of pinks and orange as the sun rises to warm up the day. We have been blessed with beautiful monsoons this summer painting the earth various lush shades of green. You experience the early signs of fall with all of your senses. The apache plum are thriving and the chamisas are blooming with their elegant yellow flowers. The scent of green chiles roasting on every corner with their glorious spicy aroma awakens your taste buds to the flavors of the Land of Enchantment. Experience the magic of New Mexico as the seasons shift from summer to fall.

Taos Glamping tour

We just returned from our Taos Glamping Adventure that coincided with the Perseids meteor shower. We were joined for the first time by Mike Hawkins, a passionate friend of HI with a deep love affair for the night sky. He brought his telescope, adding a new dimension to the experience as we saw Jupiter and Saturn up close. You can learn more about Mike and see more of his amazing pictures on his website.
We witnessed an incredible display of the Perseids meteor shower far from any light pollution. We were also treated to a night fireside storytelling with Ilona Spruce, Director of Tourism from the Taos Pueblo. Her stories brought us back to a simpler time illuminating the legends of the Taos Pueblo.
Our glamping tours are an experience like no other as we rove to the undiscovered corners of the Land of Enchantment.

Don't Miss the Santa Fe Architectural Walking Tour!

“We had hit the highlights of the "go to" places in Santa Fe, but Sandy did a wonderful job of taking us to places that showcased the most unique aspects of this beautiful city. The pace she set was perfect and she was very generous with her offer to serve as a resource for any questions we had while in Santa Fe. I highly recommend this tour!”

Great Chaco Adventure

“We took the Chaco Canyon tour with Bobby. Everything about the trip was perfect, the amount of time allocated, the food and the tour itself. Great scenery on the way to the Canyon. The Canyon and Pueblo are amazing and Bobby shared much knowledge about the history and culture. Truly a great adventure.”

“We have been blessed to say the least…. Angelisa curated a perfect package; fresh water kayaking, class 3 = exceptional. The combination of pure cool water rapids in middle desert is remarkably satisfying to this New Yorker—don’t under-appreciate the contrast. Rock climbing, outside / low humidity dinners w/ music + my personal favorite; lunch at a Pueblo-like wine vineyard. The backdrop was nothing short of barren sanded flattops and rugged vistas w/ an array of robust fruits at its forefront. You’ve got to try the montepulciano—dry AF, ideal for the red & dry lovers. An underpriced, under-appreciated gem … ultimately subject to saturation from an aspiring and familiar European tongue. Until then, enjoy its unrealized glory.

Check out Heritage Inspirations- it won’t be a loss.”
Our tribe is growing. We are excited to introduce you to Sandy Katz, Santa Fe Inspired Guide.
Sandy fell in love with New Mexico at first sight, when she visited in 2005. She explains, “When I got here, it all made sense. The skies, the clarity of colors, and the amazingly clean air. I knew that I wanted to make this my home” Sandy was initially an educator but is a natural guide. “Guiding tours gives me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share the beauty and unique history of Santa Fe.”
