The Story Behind the Ladder
Over the past few years we have grown up significantly and are emerging from the pandemic like a mountain bluebird ready to fly the nest. This level of evolution felt like the right time to rebrand ourselves with a new logo and image that speaks more intimately to who we are and the principles upon which our mission and ethos are found. We have been working behind the scenes to create our new logo for the past few months and now we can share it with you!
Learn more about our process for creating this logo and the dynamic duo of Angelisa and Kristin whose teamwork is responsible for the designs that tell the story of HI.

As we emerge into spring and the earth awakens to the new season - everything is budding and turning green. It is the perfect time to get outside and explore the Land of Enchantment. Here we highlight some of the best tours for this time of year in each of our main locations.

Albuquerque

Do you like exploring hard to reach places off the beaten path? Do you enjoy cycling in the great outdoors? This EBike adventure takes you along New Mexico’s largest river, the Rio Grande, and into the heart of the agricultural heritage and water management system of Albuquerque’s Rio Grande Valley. You will be amazed by the natural beauty of the Bosque, right in the middle of the Duke City.

Journey into the belly of the Rio Grande Gorge to the water’s edge to start your whitewater adventure with our NMRA River Partners. Enjoy stunning Quartzite and basalt lava cliffsides, as well as possible wildlife sightings of bighorn sheep, coyote or otters. With green splotches of sage, Apache plume and prickly pear cactus dotting the peachy and orangey covered rockas you navigate the zig zaggy run down the Rio Grande.
Then travel to Vivác Winery to indulge in our Inspired Chef Gourmet Picnic, a decadent spread perfectly paired with tasting Vivác wines to toast to your culinary outdoor adventure together!

HIKING TOUR IN BANDELIER
Beneath the eastern flanks of the Jemez Mountains lies the Pajarito (Spanish for “little bird”) Plateau where dynamic geological forces weave the story of migration and settlement of ancestral Pueblo Peoples. Join us as we explore and hike within Bandelier National Monument. Explore the low stone walls, petroglyphs and follow ancient pathways.

We would not be able to curate inspirational travel adventures throughout the Land of Enchantment without our wonderful partners. This month we want to talk about one of our longtime partners, The Mesa Prieta Petroglyph Project. The project focuses on the promotion of heritage stewardship and the preservation of archaeological features and the environment and cultural landscape of the Mesa Prieta region of the northern Rio Grande Valley through documentation, education and outreach.
