¡Bienvenidos de Albuquerque! Tour

DIFFICULTY RATING: 1   (1 = Easy  |  3 = Moderate  |  5 = Difficult)

The Rio Grande is New Mexico’s primary water source. Along the river are dozens of communities that blend together, not just through their roads and houses but through the food, culture and traditions that have been passed down generation after generation. In the Rio Grande Valley these communities and land grants have grown into the largest city in New Mexico, Albuquerque. A thriving city, so unique and rich in culture. Some say it’s the epicenter of the Hispanic Heartland. Albuquerque is nestled in a valley between the majestic Sandia Mountains to the east and the Three Sisters Volcanoes to the west. This tour will take you from west to east. The Petroglyph National Monument is known for its 24,000 petroglyphs, located at the edge of an ancient lava flow, where for the past seven centuries both the indigenous people who have called this valley home and the conquistadors who conquered the area have etched petroglyphs into the hardened basalt rock. These hold a profound spiritual significance for both Native Americans and descendants of the Spanish settlers. Discover this record of cultural expression and then soar high above Albuquerque on the Sandia Peak Tramway to the crest of the Sandia Mountains. There you will take in breathtaking views of 11,000 square miles of New Mexico. We are thrilled to share the beauty of Albuquerque with you, join us on this wonderful day tour.
